The list of biocidal active substances contains the according to Directive 98/8/EC (the Biocidal Products Directive), and Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 (the Biocidal Products Regulation) approved substances. For each substance there is a brief summary and links to the evaluation report and to further information available. Biocidal products containing such active substances are subject to the BPR procedures.
In addition, the list also contains the substances included in the evaluation program of Annex II, Section I of Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1062/2014. Biocidal products containing such active substances follow the national transitional measures.
The list of notifications contains notifications of substance/product-type combinations made for inclusion in the review program for, among other things, redefined active substances and substances for which previous participants made a timely withdrawal. After submitting a valid evaluation dossier, these substances are also included in the list of biocidal active substances.
